Measles Antibody Titers by Gestational Age in Cord Sera and by Postnatal age in Nonimmunized Infants


Abstract
There is still controversy about the optimum age for measles vaccination. This study was undertaken to collect reliable data in order to determine to optimum age for measles vaccination for our children.
ELISA test was done in 136 cord sera and in 91 non-immunized infants against measles.
@ES The results were as follows:
@EN 1) There is no significant difference of measles antibody titers by gestational age.
2) A significant downward trend was found in measles antibody titers from early infancy to 12 month of age.
